Description
Jan Arrah is Element Lad, a Legionnaire from the planet Trom with the ability to transmute any chemical element into any other, first appearing in Adventure Comics #307 in 1963. Created by Edmond Hamilton and John Forte, he is the sole survivor of his homeworld after his people were massacred by the space pirate Roxxas, a backstory that became one of the most prominent tragic origins in Legion history. He has appeared across the Legion of Super-Heroes' many decades of publication and multiple continuity reboots.
