Description
Cogliostro is a mysterious mentor figure in the Spawn comics, created by Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane and introduced in Spawn #9 (1993). He presents himself as a guide to Al Simmons, teaching the new Hellspawn about the centuries-long war between Heaven and Hell and the history of the Hellspawn lineage. His true identity is Cain, the first murderer, who became the original Hellspawn after striking a deal with Malebolgia before ultimately betraying him.
