Description
Knuckles the Echidna is a red echidna and major recurring character in the Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog series. The last survivor of his clan and the sole guardian of the mystical Master Emerald on floating Angel Island, he first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog #13 in 1993. Based on the video game character introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in 1994, he is frequently depicted as a rival to Sonic due to his physical strength and stubborn sense of duty.
