Lana Lang

Lana Lang is a DC Comics character and longtime figure in the Superman mythology, first appearing in Superboy #10 (1950), created by Bill Finger and John Sikela. She is depicted as Clark Kent's childhood friend and romantic interest in Smallville, Kansas, a role that across many continuities is contrasted with his later relationship with Lois Lane. Lana has also occasionally taken on superhero identities including Insect Queen and Superwoman. She is one of the most consistently present supporting characters in the Superman comics.
