Rantanplan is the prison guard dog of the Lucky Luke comics, created by Morris and René Goscinny as a parody of Rin Tin Tin and billed as the stupidest dog in the West. His job is watching the Dalton brothers, which he does badly. He headlined his own spin-off albums from 1987.
