Professor Boyce built the giant robot ape Mytek the Mighty to overawe the Akari, a tribe who worshipped an ape deity, until his assistant Gogra seized the controls and turned the machine loose. Tom Tully wrote and Eric Bradbury drew the strip, which ran in Fleetway's Valiant from 1964 to 1970.
