Description
Louis Crandell is The Steel Claw, a laboratory assistant whose artificial right hand becomes invisible when electrified, causing him to appear as a disembodied claw, first appearing in the British comics anthology Valiant in 1962. Created by Ken Bulmer and Jesus Blasco, he initially uses his invisibility for criminal purposes before transitioning to heroism across his long run in Valiant. The character is one of the most distinctive figures in British comics history and was later revived in the anthology Action.
