Mick McMahon
British artist (b. 1954, also credited as Mike McMahon) who studied graphic design at Chelsea School of Art. Became the first regular artist on Judge Dredd at 2000 AD from its 1977 launch, developing the character's visual language before pursuing other work; also drew Slaine, the ABC Warriors, and the mini-series The Last American. Known for a loose, energetic inking style built on charged brushwork and expressive line. Later moved into computer game design, with comics work becoming sporadic.
