One of DC Comics' most prolific letterers and logo designers, active from the early 1940s through the late 1960s. Schnapp joined DC's staff around 1949 and spent nearly two decades designing covers, house ads, and logos for the publisher's full line of titles. His most enduring contribution is the Comics Code Authority seal, designed in 1955, which appeared on comic book covers for over forty years.
