Golden Age artist Howard Sherman worked at DC Comics through the 1940s and 50s. With writer Gardner Fox he co-created Doctor Fate in More Fun Comics #55 (1940), drawing the strip through issue #73, and also drew Batman, Vigilante and Congo Bill.
