Description

Sjimmie is a character in the long-running Dutch comic strip Sjors & Sjimmie, published by De Spaarnestad. Introduced by artist Frans Piët in 1949 as a young African circus performer who befriends the series' original protagonist Sjors, he became so central that the strip was retitled to include his name. Sjors & Sjimmie continued until 1999, making it the Dutch comic series with the longest continuous publication history.
