He-Man is the heroic alter ego of Prince Adam of Eternia and the most powerful man in the universe in the Masters of the Universe franchise created by Mattel, first appearing in comics in DC Comics Presents #47 in 1982. Battling the evil Skeletor and his forces for control of Castle Grayskull, he has appeared in comics from DC, Marvel Star, and Image across multiple series and continuities. He has remained one of the most recognizable action hero characters across four decades of licensed comics publication.
