Description

The Chameleon is a Marvel supervillain defined by his ability to impersonate almost anyone, using lifelike masks and disguises to move unseen through the criminal underworld. Born Dmitri Smerdyakov, he is the mistreated, illegitimate half-brother of Kraven the Hunter. He holds the distinction of being the first costumed criminal Spider-Man ever fought, debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 in 1963. Across his career he has worked as a spy, an assassin, and a criminal mastermind, relying on deception rather than raw power.
