Anole

Victor Borkowski, known as Anole, is a Marvel Comics mutant created by Christina Weir and Nunzio DeFilippis. He first appeared in New Mutants vol. 2 #2 (2003).

Victor is a teenager from Fairbury, Illinois, whose reptilian mutation gave him green scaly skin, a spiked carapace, and a prehensile tongue. When anti-mutant sentiment made his hometown unsafe, his parents sent him to the Xavier Institute. He was assigned to Northstar's Alpha Squadron as squad leader and proved to be one of the school's most capable students.

Anole's powers include camouflage, wall-crawling, enhanced agility, and regeneration. After losing his right arm in battle, it regrew as a larger, superhumanly strong limb. He was one of only 27 students to retain his powers after the Decimation event. Northstar served as an important mentor, helping Victor come to terms with his identity as a gay mutant. Anole has been a member of the Young X-Men and has remained an active part of the X-Men's student body across multiple eras.
