Quantum is a superhuman individual chosen by the Space Gem, one of the powerful Infinity Stones. This connection grants him extensive teleportation abilities across vast distances. Initially, he was coerced into serving the Assessor, who sought to exploit his unique powers. Quantum later asserted his independence, breaking free from manipulation to determine his own path.
