Donna Troy
Description
Donna Troy is a DC Comics superhero created by Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani. She first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #60 (1965) as Wonder Girl, the younger sister and protegee of Wonder Woman.
Donna was rescued from an apartment fire as an infant by Wonder Woman, who brought her to Paradise Island to be raised by Queen Hippolyta and the Amazons. She gained abilities similar to Wonder Woman's, including superhuman strength, flight, and combat training. As Wonder Girl, she became a founding member of the Teen Titans alongside Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West), and Aqualad.
Donna's origin has been revised more frequently than almost any other DC character, with different continuities attributing her existence to Amazonian adoption, magical creation, or manipulation by the villain Dark Angel. Despite these complications, she has remained a central figure in the Titans family for decades. She has also operated under the names Troia and Wonder Woman at various points. Her close friendship with Dick Grayson and her role as a mentor to younger heroes are defining aspects of the character.
