Description
Yosemite Sam is a loudmouthed, hot-tempered gunfighter and recurring adversary of Bugs Bunny in Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes, created by animator Friz Freleng and writer Michael Maltese and debuting in the short Hare Trigger on May 5, 1945. Distinguished by his massive red mustache and pair of six-shooters, he appeared in roles ranging from Old West outlaw to pirate to space villain across dozens of theatrical shorts. He starred in his own comic book series published by Gold Key and Whitman Comics from 1970 to 1984 and appeared in Dell and Gold Key adaptations from the late 1940s onward.
