Allan de Beaufort was a Crusading knight who turned up twice in Comics. First in "New Comics" #1 (1935) and secondly in "Warrior Comics" #1 (1945). He was reportedly a knight of the Fourth Crusade (1202 - 1204) who traveled the Middle East by his own means.
