Lockheed

Lockheed is a Marvel Comics character created by Chris Claremont and Paul Smith. He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #166 (1983) as a small alien dragon who bonded with Kitty Pryde.

Lockheed is a member of an alien dragon-like race called the Flock, native to a planet in the Brood's territory. He encountered the X-Men during a Brood adventure and formed an immediate attachment to Kitty Pryde, following her back to Earth. Despite his small size (roughly cat-sized), he can breathe fire powerful enough to harm even heavily armored opponents.

Lockheed is far more intelligent than his pet-like appearance suggests. He is capable of understanding human speech and has been revealed as a covert agent of S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department). He has accompanied Kitty through her various team affiliations, including the X-Men, Excalibur, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, serving as both a loyal companion and an unexpectedly effective combatant.
