Description
Morbius (Michael Morbius) is a Marvel Comics character created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 (1971). A Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, Morbius attempted to cure a rare and fatal blood disease through an experimental treatment combining electroshock therapy and vampire bat DNA, accidentally transforming himself into a pseudo-vampire with superhuman strength, flight, and an uncontrollable thirst for blood. He operates as a tragic anti-hero tormented by his condition, occasionally allied with Spider-Man and Blade.
