Description

Alley Oop is a time-traveling caveman from the prehistoric kingdom of Moo at the center of the newspaper comic strip created by V.T. Hamlin, which first appeared in August 1933. Originally a straightforward prehistoric adventure strip, Hamlin introduced a time machine in 1939 that allowed Alley Oop and his companions to visit different historical eras, fundamentally changing the strip's premise. The strip has been published continuously for decades and collected in various comics publications across its long run.
