Description

Biffo the Bear is a friendly, school-age bear who served as the cover mascot of the British weekly comic The Beano from 1948 to 1974. Created by Dudley D. Watkins, he first appeared in January 1948 and remained the front-page character until Dennis the Menace displaced him. Biffo continued in the interior pages until 1986 and has returned in various forms since.
