Description
John D. Rockerduck is a wealthy duck and one of Scrooge McDuck's chief business rivals in the Disney comics universe. Created by Carl Barks in 1961, his name parodies that of John D. Rockefeller. Where Scrooge is famously frugal, Rockerduck is a liberal spender who believes money must be spent to be made, and this philosophical divide fuels their ongoing rivalry. Though he makes relatively few appearances in American comics, he is a recurring antagonist in Italian, Brazilian, and European stories.
