Description

Big Chief is the lazy, portly father of Little Hiawatha in Disney's Little Hiawatha animated and comics universe, which debuted in the 1937 Disney short of the same name. Portrayed as a comical contrast to his small but earnest son, he appeared in Disney comics published by Dell, including Four Color editions that adapted the Little Hiawatha stories from the 1940s onward. He is a supporting character in the Disney comics based on the Little Hiawatha animated shorts.
