Description
Cain is a DC and Vertigo character, the ghoulish host of the horror anthology House of Mystery. Introduced in 1968 to narrate EC-style scare stories, he was later reimagined as a resident of the Dreaming in Neil Gaiman's Sandman. There he is cast as history's first murderer, eternally killing and reviving his put-upon brother Abel. He presents himself as a storyteller and keeper of mysteries, equal parts menacing and theatrical. His home sits in the Dreaming beside Abel's House of Secrets.
