The Baron and his wife are concealing something, and the truth behind the case runs far deeper than a monster hunt. The arc weaves in a mysterious figure from Mechanika's past known as La Madrina, whose connection to events draws the narrative into questions of identity, memory, and the reach of old grievances. Ching's clean linework gives the Spanish setting a warmth that contrasts with the story's darker emotional undercurrent.
