True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem (2020)

A six-issue limited series from Dark Horse Comics published 2020-2021, written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon with art by Leonardo Romero and colors by Jordie Bellaire. Pitched as a sequel to the 2013 True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, it follows Mike Milligram, the former leader of a group of teenage exterminators tasked with saving reality.

Mike has been deprogrammed after a long stretch of mental confinement. He hits the road to track down his scattered, brainwashed teammates and rebuild the crew for a final showdown against the corporation, hitmen, and gangs that took them apart. The run shares its premise with the original My Chemical Romance Danger Days concept that predates the album.
