Spider-Gwen: Smash (2024)
A four-issue limited series by writer Melissa Flores and artist Enid Balam that puts the music first. Back home on Earth-65 after a forced exile, Gwen Stacy rejoins her rock band the Mary Janes as they open for one of the world's biggest acts on a four-city tour. Gwen promises her bandmates that this break is about the drums, not the mask, but trouble follows her on the road as bandleader MJ Watson wrestles with her own feelings for Gwen while being manipulated by Earth-65 versions of familiar villains. Tying into the wider Ghost-Spider saga, Smash trades city-wide threats for the smaller, personal stakes of friendship, identity, and the band that made Gwen who she is.
