American Caper is a twelve-issue crime series created by former Rockstar Games writer Dan Houser, with additional writing from Lazlow and art by David Lapham. The story tracks a cluster of desperate characters whose lives collide around a real estate deal gone wrong, including a Mormon hitman, a gambling-addicted lawyer, and a beauty queen fleeing her past.
Two escaped convicts on the run and a Wall Street billionaire turned cowboy add to the chaos as old grudges resurface. Houser has described the series as a satire built around hypocrisy, dysfunction, and violence.
