The Patron (2026)

The Patron is a horror and crime series set in the contemporary art world. It is published by Ignition Press.

At its center is Mr. Cherish, a wealthy benefactor who cultivates emerging artists while hiding a habit of murder. Each victim is drawn from the very talent he claims to champion.

Writer Christian Ward and artist John J. Pearson pair a tense thriller with a distinctive visual approach. Pearson hand paints the artwork credited to Cherish's artists, giving each victim a separate style within the larger work.
