Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project (1994)

When bizarre occurrences at the Smithsonian Institution pull Spider-Man into a conspiracy rooted in the darkest corners of genetic science, he finds himself confronting the Life Foundation and its dangerous offspring -- a faction of engineered beings known as Homo Arachnis. Venom is drawn into the conflict as a volatile and unwilling counterpart to Spider-Man, while the armored mercenary team known as the Jury pursues its own agenda through the chaos. The series plays Spider-Man's responsibilities against the moral ambiguity of corporate science run unchecked, with Wildman's kinetic pencils handling the escalating physical confrontations across the six-issue run.
