The Punisher War Journal (1988)

Punisher War Journal launched in 1988 as the first dedicated spin-off series for Frank Castle, responding to the character's growing popularity. Carl Potts wrote and penciled the title initially, with Jim Lee quickly taking over as penciler. The series ran for 80 issues and included the first meeting between the Punisher and Wolverine in issue #6.
