A 1994 Marvel crossover by Scott Lobdell running through Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, X-Factor, and Excalibur. The Phalanx, a techno-organic alien race, attempts to assimilate Earth's mutants while the main X-Men are occupied, leaving Banshee, Emma Frost, and others to mount a resistance.
