The suburban husband at the center of the Sunday topper strip E.C. Segar ran above Thimble Theatre. It started in 1920 as The Five-Fifteen and was renamed in 1926. From 1932 the inventor Professor Wotasnozzle took the strip over, leaving Sappo as his test subject.
