Yoshinori Kobayashi
Biography
Yoshinori Kobayashi is a Japanese manga artist who debuted in 1976 in Weekly Shōnen Jump. His satirical series Obocchama-kun won the 1989 Shōgakukan Manga Award for children's manga. He became a prominent and controversial figure with Gōmanism Sengen, his long-running political commentary manga, whose On War volumes sold over 1.5 million copies. His political views, expressed through manga and public writing, have made him one of the most debated voices in Japanese popular culture.
