Bob Karp was an American writer who scripted the Donald Duck daily newspaper strip from 1938 to 1974, working alongside artist Al Taliaferro for the majority of that run. He wrote Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold, the first American Donald Duck adventure comic, illustrated by Carl Barks and Jack Hannah in 1942. He also scripted Merry Menagerie, a Disney animal panel strip that ran from 1947 to 1962.
