Biography

Bill Walsh was an American writer who joined Walt Disney Productions in 1943 as a scripter for the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip. He wrote both the daily and Sunday Mickey Mouse strips through the 1940s and into the early 1960s, helping shape the character's voice in the comics medium. Walsh later transitioned to film and television production at Disney, writing and producing features including Mary Poppins and The Love Bug.
