Spanish-American Disney artist born in 1913 who began his career as an animator on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. He took over the Sunday Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip in 1938 and drew it until 1981, reaching over 20 million readers weekly at its peak. He was posthumously inducted as a Disney Legend in 2017 and died in 1993.
