Lightning Lad

Garth Ranzz is Lightning Lad, a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes from the planet Winath who gained electric powers after an encounter with Lightning Beasts on Korbal, first appearing as Lightning Boy in Adventure Comics #247 in April 1958. Created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino, he joined Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy to form the Legion's founding trio and has remained one of its core members across decades of DC Comics continuity. He has appeared in numerous Legion series, reboots, and animated adaptations.
