In the aftermath of the previous issue's revelations, Simon is forced to face the full terms of what Ormon's wish actually entailed. The conditions of his transformation are brought into the open, and he stands before a choice with consequences stretching far beyond his own life. The issue places the series' central tension in direct focus as Simon weighs the cost of keeping his powers against everything he would be walking away from.
