An alien rocket crashes on a Kansas farm, but the sole survivor is not a child. Jor-El, the last Kryptonian, has escaped his doomed planet's final moments. Welcomed by a kindly rural couple, he slowly discovers that Earth's yellow sun grants him extraordinary abilities, while his scientific mind opens possibilities for good that no ordinary hero could imagine. This limited series reimagines the classic origin, asking what kind of legend Krypton's greatest scientist would build as Earth's protector.
