Batman - One Bad Day: Clayface (2023)
Released by DC Comics in 2023 as part of the One Bad Day line of standalone Batman villain specials, this prestige one-shot follows Basil Karlo after he abandons Gotham for Los Angeles and a new identity as an aspiring actor. When a coveted starring role goes to a warmer, more likable rival, Karlo's need to be the leading man curdles into a violent rampage that reshapes the city and eventually pulls Batman into his path. Written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing with art by Xermanico, the issue uses Clayface's shape-changing powers to examine ambition, rejection, and identity.
