Absolute Batman: Ark M is a one-shot special set within DC's Absolute Universe, a reimagined continuity launched as part of the 2024 "All In" initiative. In this continuity, the familiar grounds of Arkham Asylum have been reshaped into something far more sinister. Ark M operates under the Joker's control, and its origins reach back through the journals of Amadeus Arkham to a dark nineteenth-century history. The special bridges the gap between the first and second years of the Absolute Batman ongoing series, providing context for threats yet to come.
