Blade: Vampire Hunter (1999)
Marvel launched this miniseries in late 1999 to build on the success of the first Blade film. Bart Sears both writes and pencils most of the run, with Andy Smith taking over the art on the final issues. A preview half-issue distributed through Wizard magazine preceded the six numbered issues.
Eric Brooks battles a resurgent ancient vampire lord called the Reaper across a storyline titled Chaos. His war entangles him with Silvereye, a covert S.H.I.E.L.D. unit devoted to hunting vampires. New allies Saracen and Hrolf join the daywalker on the hunt.
