Absolute Martian Manhunter is a 12-issue maxiseries from DC's Absolute Universe, written by Deniz Camp with art and colors by Javier Rodriguez. FBI Agent John Jones has spent a year building a quiet life in Middleton with his wife Bridget and their mute son Tyler, until a suicide bombing leaves him changed in ways he cannot yet explain.
An alien consciousness calling itself the Martian takes root in John's mind, granting him the ability to see psychic smoke drifting from the people around him. Together they investigate a mounting wave of violence and social disruption across Middleton, hunting the source of what the Martian believes is deliberate interference from a hostile entity known as the White Martian.
Camp describes the series as psychedelic noir that examines large human questions through a personal and intimate lens. All twelve issues were written and drawn by the same creative team with no fill-ins.
