Swamp Thing: Futures End (2014)
This one shot is Swamp Thing's tie in to DC's Futures End event, which jumped the New 52 line five years into the future. It was released during the September 2014 themed month alongside other Futures End specials.
Written by Charles Soule with art by Jesus Saiz, the story finds the elemental avatars of the Green, the Red, and the Grey locked in war with the avatars of Bacteria and Metal. Alec Holland works to broker a ceasefire as part of his effort to reconnect with his human past.
Published by DC Comics in 2014, the special extends Soule's run on the character into the event's future timeline.
