Fritz Katzenjammer

Fritz Katzenjammer is one of the twin protagonists of The Katzenjammer Kids, the long-running American comic strip created by Rudolph Dirks and first published in the New York Journal on December 12, 1897. The blond of the two brothers, Fritz joins his twin Hans in a relentless campaign of pranks and chaos targeting the adult figures in their lives, including their mother Mama and the shipwrecked sailor known as der Captain. Inspired by Wilhelm Busch's German tale Max and Moritz, the strip remains one of the oldest works in comics history and is still in active syndication.
