American comics writer born October 19, 1927, died June 1, 2017. He was one of the most prolific American comic book scriptwriters of his era, writing thousands of stories for Disney-licensed comics at Western Publishing from the 1950s through the early 1990s. He created minor Disney characters including Moby Duck and Emil Eagle.
