Originally led by Professor Trevor Bruttenholm and later by Hellboy, the Bureau employs a mix of human agents and paranormal operatives. The B.P.R.D. is central to Mike Mignola's Hellboy universe, defending humanity against ancient evils, Lovecraftian horrors, and apocalyptic forces.
