The first solo series for Barry Allen's Flash kicks off with two stories. In the lead, the Fastest Man Alive faces Katmos, a tyrant from a prehistoric civilization who survived through the centuries and set out to reclaim dominion over Earth. The backup introduces Sam Scudder, a petty criminal who discovers how to project illusions and transport objects through reflective surfaces -- debuting as the Mirror Master, one of the Flash's most enduring adversaries. Art by Carmine Infantino, written by John Broome. The issue's numbering continues from Flash Comics, the Golden Age series that ran through #104.
